The government has officially publicized the Eid holidays. These start from Monday, March 31, to Wednesday, and end on April 2, 2025. These three days will allow people to celebrate Eid with their families and loved ones. We can follow the sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) differently, like the Eid prayer.

Why Do Muslims Follow Moon Sighting for Eid?

Islam follows the lunar calendar. So, we can determine the start and end of each Islamic month with the moon. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) advised Muslims to depend on actual moon sightings. It is preferably than pre-determined calculations.

These Ahadith emphasize the importance of moon sighting in Islam. This rule promotes unity among Muslims, ensuring they celebrate Eid together based on the natural lunar cycle.
