Pakistan has started an important aviation project called the Faisalabad Greenfield Airport, which aims to build a new airport in Faisalabad with modern facilities. This project is part of improving the country’s overall aviation system.

• Consultancy and feasibility work started in 2025–2026 
• The agreement with consultants (Dar Al-Handasah) was signed in 2026
