Faisalabad is on the verge of a major shift in its public transportation system. As part of the Punjab government’s Green Initiative, a fleet of 30 electric buses has arrived and will soon begin service across the city. The official inauguration will be carried out by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on 29th September, setting a new milestone for eco-friendly and affordable commuting.
The new electric bus service is designed to make travel easier, safer, and more affordable for the public, while also addressing environmental concerns.
This service will not only improve daily commuting but also strengthen Faisalabad’s position as a leading industrial and commercial hub.
In addition to electric buses, the Green Electric Bus Project in Faisalabad has also been finalized. The planned routes will connect major residential, commercial, and industrial zones, offering smooth and reliable transport for thousands of daily passengers.

Modern Transport: A safe, fast, and reliable travel option that will improve the daily commute for thousands of residents.
Affordable for All: With a fare of just Rs. 20 per ride, the service ensures that everyone—students, workers, and families—can travel comfortably without financial burden.
Environment-Friendly: The shift to electric buses means lower fuel consumption, reduced emissions, and cleaner air, creating a healthier city for future generations.
Stronger Connectivity: The routes are designed to link major highways, educational institutions, residential areas, and business centers, making the entire city more accessible.
Boost to Economy: Efficient transport will save time, increase productivity, and support economic activity across Faisalabad.
The launch of electric buses marks a turning point for Faisalabad’s transport system. Affordable, sustainable, and people-friendly, this initiative shows the government’s commitment to modern infrastructure and long-term urban growth.
