Faisalabad is on the verge of a major shift in its public transportation system. As part of the Punjab government’s Green Initiative, a fleet of 30 electric buses has arrived and will soon begin service across the city. The official inauguration will be carried out by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on 29th September, setting a new milestone for eco-friendly and affordable commuting.   

Electric Bus Service in Faisalabad   

The new electric bus service is designed to make travel easier, safer, and more affordable for the public, while also addressing environmental concerns.   

  • Depots established at Ghulam Muhammad Abad, Sargodha Road, and Gutwala Road.   
  • Eco-friendly travel that reduces fuel use and helps fight air pollution.   
  • Low fare of just 20 rupees, with flexible boarding and dropping off at any stop.   
  • Seven routes are planned to cover the city’s busiest and most important areas.   

This service will not only improve daily commuting but also strengthen Faisalabad’s position as a leading industrial and commercial hub.   

Green Bus Project – Routes Finalized   

In addition to electric buses, the  Green Electric Bus Project in Faisalabad has also been finalized. The planned routes will connect major residential, commercial, and industrial zones, offering smooth and reliable transport for thousands of daily passengers.
